1. Agreement & Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to LessonLoop AI. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Educator," "User," or "Customer") and LessonLoop AI ("we," "our," or "us") regarding your access to and use of our curriculum creation software, grading dashboards, websites, and associated services (the "Platform").
By creating an account, upgrading to a premium subscription plan, or accessing any part of the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our accompanying Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you are not authorized to use the Platform.
2. Platform Services & Educator Scope
LessonLoop AI is a specialized cloud platform built for English language instructors, hagwon (private academy) operators, public school teachers, and private tutors, particularly those operating in South Korea. The Platform provides tools including, but not limited to:
- AI Lesson Planner: Generate complete, context-aware teaching outlines.
- Vocabulary Engine: Create localized English-Korean word banks and corresponding matching quizzes.
- Essay Evaluator: Transcribe paper homework essays using image-to-text OCR and generate grading summaries.
- Student Result Logger: Track class levels, logging student progress grades for physical report exports.
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform solely for professional teaching preparation and educational purposes, subject strictly to these Terms.
3. Educator Conduct & Student Privacy Responsibilities
As a condition of using the Platform, you agree to comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws, including the United States FERPA/COPPA frameworks and South Korea's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
You are solely responsible for ensuring the following:
- Classroom Authority: You represent that you possess the institutional authority, professional credentials, or necessary parental consent (where required by local school boards or hagwons) to upload student names, roster details, or essay assignments to the Platform.
- Data Minimization: When entering student rosters or logging scores, you are highly encouraged to use first names, initials, or anonymous student codes (e.g. "Student Alpha") rather than full names, resident registration details, or other highly sensitive personal identifying identifiers.
- Securing Accounts: You must maintain the confidentiality of your account password and notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized access or breach of security. You are responsible for all activity conducted through your login.
4. Generated Content & Intellectual Property
A. Your Original Uploads
You retain all intellectual property rights, copyright, and ownership in any materials, text prompts, custom student worksheets, or essay uploads that you submit to the Platform. By uploading material, you grant us a temporary, royalty-free, global license to process, host, and translate that text solely for the purpose of executing your requested Platform services.
B. AI-Generated Output Ownership
All final worksheets, printable vocabulary games, PDF report logs, and evaluation files generated by our AI scripts in response to your prompts belong 100% to you. We claim no ownership over your generated printouts. You possess a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide license to print, photocopy, distribute, translate, and use those outputs in your physical or digital classrooms.
C. Platform Branding
All LessonLoop logos, structural code, visual interfaces, database configurations, and proprietary algorithm designs are the sole intellectual property of LessonLoop AI. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, decompile, or commercially exploit our platform code.
5. Subscriptions, Pricing, & Billing Policies
LessonLoop AI offers both free tiers and paid monthly or annual premium subscription plans.
- Billing Cycles: Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis via our secure merchant processors. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled prior to the renewal date.
- Easy Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription plan at any time through the Settings dashboard. Cancellation stops automatic future billing but leaves premium privileges active until the end of the current paid cycle.
- Refund Guidelines: Except where mandated by local law (such as South Korean consumer protection laws regarding digital service cancellation cooling-off periods), all payments are non-refundable. Please evaluate our free trial tier fully before subscribing.
- Price Adjustments: We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing. We will provide premium subscribers with at least 30 days' advance email notice before any price adjustments take effect.
6. AI Reliability Disclaimers & Professional Vetting
LessonLoop AI leverages state-of-the-art Large Language Models (LLMs) to construct learning materials and review homework. While AI technologies are highly capable, they are fundamentally statistical text generators.
IMPORTANT PROFESSIONAL CALLOUT FOR EDUCATORS:
AI models can occasionally generate inaccurate information, mistranslate vocabulary, or hallucinate grammatical explanations. As a licensed professional educator, you acknowledge that all AI outputs are supplemental aids and you assume full responsibility for vetting, proofreading, and validating the linguistic accuracy of all generated worksheets, matching keys, and grading cards before presenting them to students or administrators.
7. Limitation of Liability & Warranty Disclaimers
THE PLATFORM AND ALL AI-GENERATED CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall LessonLoop AI, its developers, partners, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of profits, classroom data, student files, or goodwill resulting from service interruptions.
- Errors, omissions, or factual discrepancies in AI-generated worksheets or graded homework transcripts.
- Any unauthorized access to our secure servers or data leakage due to force majeure.
8. Account Termination & Governing Law
A. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and block access to the Platform immediately, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms, upload malicious scripts, bypass Supabase RLS row controls, or engage in activity that threatens Platform stability.
B. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms, and any disputes arising out of your use of the Platform, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Korea (Republic of Korea), without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Seoul, South Korea.
